Obituary of Rose Marie Ledonne
Rose Marie Ledonne, 92, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at her daughter’s home in South Plainfield.
Born and raised in Carbondale, PA., Rose settled to Piscataway in 1951.
Rose graduated from Carbondale High School in Carbondale, PA. During her high school career Mrs. Ledonne was a member of the band eventually becoming head Majorette, an achievement Rose was very proud of.
Once she settled to Piscataway along with her late husband, Andrew, Rose immediately entered the workforce. She worked at Revlon, Cornell Dubilier and Consolidated Cork which later became National Can. Rose even held her beautician’s license which she put to use later on in life owning her shop in Pennsylvania.
A former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Possumtown Vol. Fire Co. in Piscataway, Rose Marie will fondly be remembered for all of the time she spent caring for her family as well as her dancing, singing and listening to music.
In addition, Rose also enjoyed spending time at her lake house on Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania.
Predeceased by her husband, Andrew, a grandson, Edward Slover, and by all of her siblings, Carmella, Jeanette, Anthony, Lena, Johnny and Vincent, Rose is survived by her daughters, Sharon Slover also of Piscataway and Lori Brennan (Paul Ost) of South Plainfield and son, Andrew of Piscataway. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ashley Slover and Tommy and Patrick Brennan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 2-5pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 beginning at 9:45am in the funeral home followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Middlesex, NJ.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ.
