Obituary of Bill Lamastro
South Plainfield – William “Bill” David Lamastro, Sr., 62, died suddenly, Sunday May 2, 2021 at home.
Born in Somerville, Bill grew up in Piscataway before settling to South Plainfield in 1992. He worked as a counterman in Read Auto Parts of Scotch Plains since 1983.
Taking great pride in his yard and pool, Bill, will forever be remembered as a loving husband to his high school sweetheart of 42 years, Kathleen (nee Casey), a proud father of a US Airman and grandfather of three children.
Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Pearl Lamastro and brother, Paul Lamastro Jr.; Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Lamastro of South Plainfield; two children, Theresa Kuhn and husband Randy of South Plainfield and son, William Lamatro Jr. and wife Jordan stationed in Germany and sister, Cora Pawlowski and husband Bill of Budd Lake.
He will also be missed by his three grandchildren, Isabella, Brayden, and Logan Kuhn.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 from 6-8PM.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11AM in the funeral home. Family and friends may begin gathering in the funeral home at 10AM.
