Obituary of James T. Olson
James T. Olson, age 33, of Kissimmee, FL passed away on April 11, 2021 while he was on home hospice with his loving family at his side. James had metastatic cholangiocarcinoma.
Born in Edison, New Jersey on January 24, 1988 to Daniel and Carol (Thomas) Olson, James grew up in South Plainfield, NJ and later relocated to Florida.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Mary and Frank (“Bunny”) Thomas and Anne and Daniel (“Buddy”) Olson.
James is survived by his loving parents, Carol and Daniel, who always called him “Bubba”; his loving brothers and sister in law, Dr. Daniel Olson, and William and Beth Olson; loving aunts and uncle, Catherine Fazekas, David and Debbie Thomas and Merry Hoppe and Godmother and her husband, Joanne and Barton Missimer.
He will also be missed by the love of his life, Cristina Chavez and dedicated friends, Mike Martin and Tim Barkalow. He also leaves behind many cherished friends, co-workers and cousins. James will be especially missed by the family beagles, Missy, Stomper (Lucy), Lily and Charlotte.
A 2006 graduate of South Plainfield High School, James recently worked as a Water Plant Operator, Class C Water Production for Orange County Florida. Prior James worked at Network Delivery Service for 10 years.
An accomplished musician playing guitar, teaching himself at the age of 7, James composed many of his own songs, and played with the band Northstar and as well as with other bands. He was a rabid fan of the Michigan Wolverines and the New Jersey Devils.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 1-4PM at South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2426 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080, services will be live streamed for those who cannot attend the in – person service. Please no flowers.
