Obituary of George W. Kimmel
Piscataway - George W. Kimmel, 91, died Sunday May 9, 2021. Born in Pittsburgh, PA but residing in NJ since the 1950’s, George was a beloved high school English teacher for over 30 years, most recently at Watching Hills Regional High School. While attending the University of Pittsburgh, George was president of the Independents Association, a member of the Pitt Players, the Air National Guard and the ROTC. Upon graduation, George served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army.
Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Jeanine B. Kimmel, George leaves a cherished legacy as a devoted, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Survived by his three sons, George Kimmel (Yoko), Mark Kimmel and Kevin Kimmel (Joany), three grandchildren, Misa, Alexander and Peter and sister Dolores Wank (Regis).
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 15, 2021 at Piscataway Funeral Home,18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains will follow privately.
