Obituary of Gerald L. Hall
Clark – Gerald “Gerry” L. Hall, 87, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at home in Clark surrounded by his four daughters.
Born to the late William and Myrtle Hall in Union, Gerald resided most of his life in South Plainfield where he and his wife, Catherine raised their family. Upon his retirement as an electrician with the IBEW, local union 102 (675), he and Catherine settled in Monroe where he lived overlooking the golf course. After Catherine’s passing, he lived in Florida before returning to New Jersey to be near his daughters. Dedicated to our Country, Gerald served and was an honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving during the Korean War.
Gerald had a passion for golf and enjoyed traveling the world to play many notable golf courses. Gerald enjoyed playing the organ and the drums. He often entertained others with his music. He became a member of the Sahib Shrine Marching Band and was also a member of the Sahib Motor Corps Shrine Club in which he rode his Harley-Davidson trike. In addition, he was a member of the AzureMasada Lodge #22, F. & A.M. He was also a member of the Deutscher Club of Clark.
Gerald enjoyed watching the Yankees, the Rangers and college football, especially Notre Dame. Gerald always looked forward to watching his grandson play baseball and football.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine A. Hall; parents; brother, Norman Hall and son in law, Jerome Mikosh; surviving are his four daughters, Shaun McClary, Valerie Hunterton, Sheryl Hall and Gwen Hall. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren.
