Obituary of Raymond Ying-Ming Lee
Piscataway, NJ – Raymond Ying-Ming Lee, 85, passed away at the Green Knoll Care Center in Bridgewater on July 21, 2021. Born in Xinhui, Guangdong, China to the late Chee Yuen and Chung Man (Lip) Lee, he lived in Hong Kong from 1961 until he immigrated to the USA in 1981, settling in Howell. Raymond lived in Manalapan, Bayville, Sunrise FL and Freehold prior to moving to Piscataway in 2020.
Raymond graduated from Hunan Medical University in China and practiced as a medical doctor while living in Hong Kong. After moving to the US, he continued to serve families in need at Rahway Hospital where he was a Clinical Pathologist and belonged to the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Because Raymond spoke Mandarin, Cantonese and English, he would often facilitate communication between patients and medical staff, which provided clarity and comfort during their care.
When he wasn’t working, Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and going fishing. In his retirement, he travelled and cruised around the world enjoying boating and deep sea fishing.
Raymond leaves behind his loving wife Lisa (Shui-Hing) Lee of Piscataway, and three sons; David Y. Lee and his wife Jennifer K. Ma of Middlesex, Kenny Y. and his wife Elaine T. Lee of Hillsborough and Evan Y. and his wife Lisa F. Lee of Clinton. He will be missed dearly by his grandchildren; Justin, Miranda P. and Matthew E. Lee.
Visitation will take place at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Burial will follow in the family plot of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Iselin.
