Obituary of Gladys A. Sheehan
Gladys A. Sheehan, 79, passed away early Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Arbor Terrace Shrewsbury in Tinton Falls.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Gladys resided in Edison for over 50 years.
She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords and was a former member of the Columbiettes.
Gladys was proud of her family, Irish heritage and she held true to her faith.
She enjoyed attending her Lyons family reunions, spending time with her friends and loved all of her 47 nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Cornelius who died in 2002 and siblings, Donald, James, Marita and John, Gladys is survived by her daughter, Laura Dorony and her husband Matthew of Oakhurst; sons, Gregory Sheehan and his wife Kimberly of NC and Glenn of Bradley Beach and grandchildren, MJ, Victoria, Kyle, Connor, Emily, Meghan and Patrick.
Cremation Services were held privately.
Funeral Mass is going to be celebrated on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Hope Parish St. Mary of the Assumption RC Church, 46 Richmond Ave. Deal, NJ 07723.
Gladys’s cremated remains will be laid to rest privately at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
