Robert Cheng, a life long-resident of Piscataway, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2021 at the age of 30 in his sleep at home.

Robert is survived by his parents and his three brothers, Larry, William and Scott.

He was born in May 21, 1991 to Wunjei Cheng and Shin Chen. He attended Piscataway Public Schools and earned a high school diploma in 2009.

Robert was actively involved in the Rutgers community, Special Olympics, and in visiting various local establishments on a routine basis. He formed strong bonds with employees both at Chuck E. Cheese in Edison and at Moe’s in Somerset. He enjoyed dancing with the kids at Chuck E. Cheese, long walks with family, and building relationships with everyone he could. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

A private funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on September 21 at the Piscataway Funeral Home on Stelton Road. Funeral director Kerri-Anne Krapf will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854. Following the ceremony, a private cremation will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. A video livestream will be available for family and close friends.
