Obituary of Margaret S. Scott

Middlesex, NJ – Margaret S. (Marko) Scott, 91, passed away at her home on Friday, November 5, 2021.  Born in Morristown to the late Frank A. and Elizabeth (Barabas) Marko, she was raised in Bernardsville and graduated from Bound Brook High School.  A military wife for over twenty-two years, Margaret settled to Middlesex in 1980.

Margaret was an Administrative Assistant and Auditor for Singer Sewing located in Plainfield.  A longtime communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex, she volunteered countless hours and was recognized as Senior of the Year.

Margaret belonged to the Middlesex Seniors and in her earlier years, was active with the scouts.  Her favorite time spent was with a good book, especially First Editions, which she was an avid collector of. 

Margaret leaves behind her loving children; Mary McMasters and her husband David of Oklahoma, JoAnn E. Scott of Washington State, Robert A. Scott and William J. Scott, both of NJ.  She will be missed greatly by her seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2021 beginning 9:00am at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846.  Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church.  Burial will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
