Obituary of Dolores Rose Long
Piscataway, NJ – Dolores Rose Long, 81, passed away peacefully with her loving children at her bedside on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Plainfield to the late Tito and Lucia (Bonicor) Cremone, Dolores has been a longtime resident of Piscataway.
She worked as a bus aide for the former Piscataway Transportation. Above all things, Dolores lived for her family, especially her grandchildren. The rock and matriarch of the family, she was the glue that held it all together and will be missed by her family and friends. Dolores’ great sense of humor was known by those who knew her and she had a love for cleaning her house, inside and out.
Predeceased by her husband Michael P. Long, Jr., grandson Nicholas Long and six siblings; Michael, Ralph, Teresa, Catherine, Margaret and Edward, Dolores leaves behind her loving and supportive children; Anthony Long (Kristen) of Middlesex, Michael P. Long of Piscataway, Donna Amato (Patrick) of Piscataway and Denise Calamito (Nick) of Middlesex. Dolores loved every single one of her grandchildren’s friends and would consider them her own grandchildren; but those who will miss “Grammy” the most are Angelina Amato, Anthony Long, Connor Calamito and Dominic Long as well as two siblings; Nicholas Cremone and Anna Vakerich.
