Obituary of Dolores Prezioso
Dolores Prezioso, 89, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Born in Manhattan to the late Charles and Lucy Basuino, Dolores grew up in Brooklyn and later resided in Carteret, NJ before settling to South Plainfield in 1970.
Dolores could often be found at the Town and Country Florist, now known as Spring Lake Florist, where she was known as Dee from the Flower Shop, where she worked for over 40 years.
Outside of the flower shop, Dee loved to visit Atlantic City as well as play IPad games. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for friends and family, who will miss her fantastic Eggplant Parm.
Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Prezioso as well as seven siblings, she is survived by her four children, Lucy Prezioso of South Plainfield, Elizabeth Gertz (Anthony) of Forest Hill, MD., Charles Prezioso of South Plainfield, and Lawrence J. Prezioso III of Hillsborough. She is also survived by her brother Anthony Basuino along with her three grandchildren, Nicholas, Tiffany, and Michael.
Visitation will be held in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080, on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 2 PM – 4 PM and 7 PM – 9 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 beginning at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by a10am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Following mass, Dolores will be laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
