Obituary of Concetta Montuori
South Plainfield, NJ – Concetta (Esposito) Montuori, 90, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her bedside on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Born in Salerno, Italy to the late Antonio and Maria (Altavilla) Esposito, Concetta immigrated to the United States in 1960, settling to South Plainfield and residing in the same house since.
In her earlier years, she worked as a seamstress for the former Bruno Dress Factory in South Plainfield. Concetta loved gardening and enjoyed her time in the kitchen, especially cooking her famous meatballs and chicken. Above all things, Concetta loved to spend time with her family and friends and was always willing to share her cooking with those she loved.
Predeceased by her husband Antonio who died in 2007 and by four siblings; Michelina, Saveria, Carmella and Janice, Concetta leaves behind her two sons; Aniello and his wife, Kimberly of South Plainfield and Raffaelo of Whitehouse Station. She will be missed dearly by her five grandchildren; Jessica, Nicole, Amanda, Nicholas and Anthony as well as her two siblings; Francesca Brunot of Piscataway and Fred Esposito of South Plainfield.
Funeral services will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Thursday, March 17, 2022 beginning 9:00am. A funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield will begin at 10:00am and Concetta will be buried beside her husband at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, also in South Plainfield.
Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 7pm-9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Concetta’s name sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org) or to Sacred Heart Church (www.churchofthesacredheart.net) would be appreciated.
