Obituary of Helen Carol Guzy
Piscataway – Helen Carol “Nicki” Guzy, 73, loving wife of John Thomas Guzy who died in January 2017, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Overlook Hospital
A viewing will be held at 1PM followed by a short prayer service at 1:45PM on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road Piscataway, NJ 08854. Burial will be private at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
Helen was born on August 16, 1948 to John and Hazel Sullivan in Falmouth Kentucky. She graduated from Pendleton County High School in 1966 and earned a Bachelor of Science In Business Education from Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky in 1970.
After working as a secretary at Metroplitan Life Insurance Company and Real Estate Financing in Cranford, NJ, Helen earned a Master of Science Degree from Kean University. In the Master’s Thesis Exhibition of April 1983, Helen exhibited a series of her work in printmaking.
Known as Nicki to family and friends, she loved being a homemaker and sharing her life with her husband, John Thomas Guzy. Their happy and devoted marriage of 44 years was filled with joys of traveling, visiting the Jersey shore, going out to eat and seeing movies.
