Obituary of Mary Ann Buono
Mary Ann (Pirone) Buono, 90, passed away on April 14, 2022 at her home in Middlesex. Born in Bound Brook to the late Carmine and Carissima (Fantini) Pirone, Mary Ann has been a longtime resident of the borough.
Dedicated to the town of Middlesex, she was a longtime cashier and delivery person for Boro Hall Pharmacy in Middlesex. She was a member of the Middlesex Ladies Elks and enjoyed playing cards, mah-jong, bowling, sports activities (Go Jets!,) TV game shows, gardening, completing puzzles and traveling.
Predeceased by her husband Louis F. Buono, daughter Karen D’Eredita and her husband John S., by her siblings; Carmella (Pirone) and her husband Anthony Savage; Ursula (Pirone) and her husband Anthony Pappalardo; Domenic Pirone and his wife Lida; Bernard Pirone and his wife Helen; Joseph Pirone and his wife Olga; Rose Marie (Pirone) Cianfrone, Raymond Pirone and his wife Veronica; and Jack Pirone.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, John Buono and his wife, Donna of Ocean View, DE and Scottsdale, AZ; Marylu Buono-DiLorenzo and her husband, James of Naples, FL; Kenneth Buono and his wife, Monica of Middlesex, NJ; Louis Buono, Jr. of Hamilton, NJ; Jill Buono of Fremont, CA; and Joseph Buono and his partner, Amy Bintliff of Middlesex, NJ and by her sisters-in-laws Teresa (Buono) Ortepio of Martinsville, NJ and Judy Pirone of Carmel, IN. Mary Ann will be missed dearly by fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 4-8pm.
On Tuesday, family and friends are invited to gather for a 10:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. Mary Ann will be laid to rest beside her husband in the family plot of St. Joseph Cemetery in Bridgewater.
In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Middlesex Rescue Squad would be appreciated.
