Obituary of Barbara Flanagan

Metuchen – Barbara “Bunny” F. Flanagan, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Brighton Gardens in Edison, NJ.

Born in Jersey City to the late Margaret (Donnelly) and Robert Flanagan, Barbara is a lifelong resident of Metuchen.  A caregiver at heart, Barbara cared for her mother for many years until her passing.  Barbara also loved and cared for many animals in her life, she had a soft spot for dogs.   In her free time, Barbara took trips to casinos in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with her sister, Peggy.  The pair also enjoyed spending time in Barbara’s backyard by the pool.

Surviving are her sister, Margaret Stryker of Piscataway and brother, Robert Flanagan and wife Susan of Florida.  She will also be missed by her niece and nephew, Sandra and Jeffrey Stryker.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Piscataway Funeral Home.
