South Plainfield - Edward W. Miller, 92, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in JFK Haven Hospice in JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born in Roselle, Edward resided in Edison before settling to South Plainfield 4 years ago.
Edward served our country with the United States Navy from 1943-1946. He worked for Boyle Midway as a forklift operator for over 30 years prior to retiring. After retirement, Edward continued working in the same capacity with Beckley Manufacturing in Garwood, NJ.
A devoted Mets fan, Edward loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Carmella (Caliendo) Miller; two children, Terry Phillips and her husband Donald of Alpha, NJ and Edward Miller and wife Deborah of South Plainfield; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Amy, Andrew, Michelle and Colleen and his five great grandchildren, Hailey, Paige, Michael, Malaki, Skylar.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 8:30AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at 9:30AM in St. Helena's RC Church, Edison.
Burial will follow in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday from 2-5PM in the funeral home.
