Obituary of Silvia Isabel Charbonneau

Hamilton – Silvia Isabel Charbonneau, 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Overlook Hospital in Summit.

Born in Ambato, Ecuador, Silvia grew up in Ambato, Ecuador, and spent some time in Macas, Ecuador before immigrating to the United States in 1990.  Initially, she resided in North Plainfield and New Brunswick before settling in Yardville.

In Ecuador, Silvia worked and helped build her family-owned restaurant El Picolino. When she was settled in New Jersey, she initially worked at Silverline Windows in New Brunswick then with the Hamilton Township School District, starting in 2009. 

Silvia had a passion for painting, drawing, cooking, dancing, and karaoke. She loved and adored her family and her friends and she will be remembered for her ability to spread positivity, even on the hardest days. On her hardest days, she found comfort at the beach and enjoyed all things about nature. At the end of the day, she loved being a mother and went above and beyond for everyone she came in contact with – living her motto, to receive, you must give.

Silvia is survived by her husband Paul Charbonneau; her children Isabel Samantha Charbonneau and Gabriel David Charbonneau of Yardville; her sisters Jessica Lascano (Leonardo Afanador) of Yardville and Susana Vaughan (Joseph Vaughan) of North Plainfield; her mother Zoila Rosa Miranda of Yardville and her father Leo Lascano of Ambato, Ecuador; her nieces Nicole Pazmino of Cherry Hill Nj, Andrea Pazmino of North Plainfield Nj, Kenny Pazmino of North Plainfield Nj, Nali Olivo of North Plainfield Nj, and  Skylah Lopez of Cherry Hill Nj.

She is predeceased by her brother David Lascano and father-in-law George Charbonneau.

Family and friends may gather on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 1-4 PM in the Borough of Belmar Taylor Pavilion, 500 Ocean Avenue Belmar, NJ 07719.

The Charbonneau Family encourages all who attend to please wear white, turquoise, or any other earthly tone.
