Obituary of Rosemarie Hall

Please share a memory of Rosemarie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rosemarie (Bottone) Hall, age 87, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 1, 2022. Rosemarie, (known by loved ones as Rosie), grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey with her parents Louis and Matilda Bottone. She was the oldest of six children.

Rosie met the love of her life, David Lee Hall, while delivering bread for the family bakery. He worked at the White Star Diner in Plainfield. They were married in May 1957.  Rosie and Dave had three children Donna, David, and Mark. Rosie and Dave were the owners of the White Star Diners in Plainfield, East Orange, and in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Together they created a wonderful place for families to come and enjoy a meal together. They started many people with their first jobs as young teenagers. Her influence on so many young people instilled in them strong work ethics.

Rosie and Dave loved life, especially spending the cold winter months playing golf and spending time with their family and friends in Florida. Rosie’s biggest love of all, however, was being with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved them with her whole heart and was incredibly proud of everything they did. Family was always the most important part of Rosie’s life and she always wanted her children to know that family always came first. She was also always generous to anyone who found themselves in her company. She would go out of her way to make everyone who came into her life feel welcomed. Rosie was proud of her patriotism and always loved displaying the red, white, and blue. Rosie’s strong Catholic faith was her foundation for the strong character she instilled in her children. It is true a mother’s love lives forever and her children and grandchildren have been graced with her love and faith.

Rosemarie is survived by her husband of 65 years David Lee Hall daughter; Donna and her husband, Paul Kucinski; their daughter, Krysta and her fiancé Thomas Leverich; and son, Paul Anthony; her son, David, and his wife, Charlene; and their two daughters, Mackenzie and Paige; and their son, Mark and his wife Angela; and her two sons, William and Michael. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Francis and Angelina; as well as her brother, Anthony and sister-in-law Wendy. She is survived by her sister-in-law Nicolina; and sister-in-law Carol; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.
