Obituary of Maureen Venitelli

South Plainfield, NJ – Maureen (McCormick) Venitelli, 52, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at JFK Medical Center in Edison.  Born in Plainfield to Eileen Zimmerman and the late Michael McCormick Sr., she has been a resident of South Plainfield her entire life.

Maureen formerly worked as a hairdresser and was employed as a sales representative, most notably at Comcast.  She currently worked as office manager of One Call Electrical, Heating & Cooling Service, Inc. of South Plainfield.  Earning many awards over the years, she was very proud of the work she did at each company she worked for.

She enjoyed cooking, hiking, and spending time outdoors, especially with her partner Jim on his boat or at the cabin, or with her beloved dog, Coal.  A spiritual woman, Maureen will be remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph, Sr. in 2013 and by her nephew Ryan Ortleb, Maureen leaves behind a loving family; daughter Eryn Bella Venitelli, son Joseph Jr.; mother Eileen McCormick; sister Julianne McCormick-Anesh and her husband Wayne; brothers Michael McCormick, his wife Michelle and Sean McCormick; and father and mother-in-law Don and Ann Venitelli.

She is also survived by her partner Jim, nieces and nephews; Elizabeth, Michael, CC, Evangeline Joe, Randi Gardner, and her husband John and their children, Ryan, Connor and  Kylee, Daniel, Alexandra, and Shaylin Venitelli.

Family and friends are invited to gather at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  

Burial will take place at 11 am on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
