Piscataway, NJ – Marge L. Bailey, 72, went home to be with our Lord on February 5, 2023 at her residence.  Born in Clearwater, FL to the late Fred and Constance (Thomas) Carmichael, Marge relocated to Paterson as a young child and settled in Piscataway in 1972.  Marge worked hard to receive her Bachelors of Arts in Interpersonal Communication and Sociology and then went on to earn her Masters in Social Work, both attained from Rutgers University.

Marge was very dedicated in her community and loved helping others. She was an Outreach Worker / Council for the City of Plainfield, Program Coordinator for Middlesex County Community College, ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructor for Union County College and then County Program Evaluator.  Marge also worked for Rutgers University as Project Coordinator from 1997-2003 and before working as an Early Childhood Teacher for Community Childcare Solutions in Somerville, Marge retired as a Social Worker from New Brunswick Public School System in 2021.

She belonged to the Human Services Advisory Council (HSHC) and was on the committees of Childcare Planning and Immigration.  Marge took great pride in her involvement throughout the years and was proud to have received many grants for the organizations she worked with.  She enjoyed community outreach, was a phenomenal public and motivational speaker. She had a love for gardening and making jewelry and was currently in the process of creating her own outreach / consulting business called RayMar Solutions.

Marge leaves behind her husband Raymond; whom joined hands in Marriage in 1967 and their sons, Corey and his wife Nicole of Clearwater, FL and Terrell and his wife Tina of Bath, PA.  Marge will be missed deeply by her granddaughters Nikori Bailey of St. Petersburg, FL, Naishia Hunter of Ellington, FL and Shanaya Graham of St. Petersburg, FL as well as three great-grandsons,  and a host of extended family and friends.

At the request of the Bailey family, all services have been privately arranged under the direction of Piscataway Funeral Home.
