Obituary of Nancy Stillman Pender
Nancy Stillman Pender, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in Phillipsburg.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Nancy resided in Plainfield and spent the majority of her life in South Plainfield before recently relocating to Phillipsburg.
Nancy worked as a claims adjuster for the Allstate Insurance Company primarily out of the Bridgewater office for nearly 30 years prior to her retirement.
True to her faith, Nancy was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart RC church in South Plainfield, was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and voluntarily ran the Sacred Heart Funstival for nearly 20 years
Furthermore, Nancy was an active member of the Suburban Women’s Club of South Plainfield In as well as a Columbiette within the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Council 6203.
In addition, she was also an avid Yankees fan.
Predeceased by her parents, Kay and Joseph Stillman, and two brothers, Hugh and Frank Stillman, surviving is her daughter Erin Pender and her husband Andrew Whorley of Easton, PA. and brother, Thomas Stillman and his wife Kim of Clark, NJ.
Visitation will begin at 9am on Friday, March 17, 2023 in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by an 11:30am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church.
Cremation Services will take place privately following mass.
Nancy’s cremated remains will be placed to rest at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
