Obituary of Kathleen Lynn Sturcke
Piscataway, NJ – Kathleen Lynn Sturcke, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 20, 2023 with loving family at her bedside. Born in Jersey City to the late Robert E. Sturcke, Sr. and Elsie Jane (Laughery,) Kathy has lived in Freehold, Edison and Metuchen before settling to Piscataway in 2022.
Kathy devoted her life to helping others, especially with her career at the Division of Youth and Family Services in Piscataway. She enjoyed making wreaths in her spare time but above all things, she enjoyed every moment with her family.
Kathy was a sweet woman who would do anything possible for those she loved. Predeceased by her parents, Kathy leaves behind her loving children; Jennifer Helman of Piscataway and Michael Helman of South Plainfield, grandchildren; Kerri Allison of Allentown, PA, Sarah Ulmer of Tobyhannah, PA, Michael D. Helman of Bradenton, FL and great-grandchildren; Jayden Allison, Steven Gentile, Eliana Helman, Greyson Helman and Dae’Jaughn Bellamy.
She will also be missed by her brother Robert E. Sturcke, Jr., sister Barbara and brother-in-law Bill Wright as well as two nieces, Kim and Jackie Wright.
Funeral arrangements have been privately entrusted to Piscataway Funeral Home.
