Obituary of Eleanor F. Pfeiffer
Eleanor F. Pfeiffer, 76, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at home in South Plainfield surrounded by family.
Born in Perth Amboy, Mrs. Pfeiffer grew up in Sewaren, where she graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1965, married and moved to South Plainfield, were she was a resident for over 50 years.
Eleanor was a homemaker who devoted her life taking care of her family. Whether it was cooking family meals every evening, sitting around the kitchen booth with family and friends, traveling around the US camping with her children and grandchildren or attending her kids and grandkids school events, sporting events and granddaugher's dance competitions. She was a second mom to many of her son's friends. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casinos. She was also a lifelong General Hospital fan who never missed an episode.
She is predeceased by a son, Joseph Pfeiffer Jr. and brother, James Mosakowski.
Surviving is her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph Sr. sons, Jason Pfeiffer and his wife Mary of South Plainfield and Allan Pfeiffer and his wife Michele of Tinton Falls and three grandchildren, Everette, Madelynn and Catherine Pfeiffer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 4-8pm in the South Plainfield Funeral Home 2456 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 beginning at 10am in the funeral home.
Immediately following the funeral service, Mrs. Pfeiffer will be laid to rest alongside her son Joseph at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge, NJ.
