Obituary of Warren W. Chang

Piscataway – Warren W. Chang, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at home.

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica West Indies, Warren immigrated to the United States in the early 1960’s and initially resided in Queens, New York.  Before settling to Piscataway in 1977, Warren and his beloved wife, Connie lived in Staten Island.

He received his bachelor’s degree from the City College of New York and worked as an engineer for CBS in New York City.  Warren was fortunate to take an early retirement to devote his time to his family, especially his grandchildren.  He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who had a deep Catholic faith.  Warren enjoyed traveling, golfing as well as playing the stock market.  

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Concepcion “Connie” (Tolentino) Chang; two children, Caroline Baum and husband David and Christopher Chang and wife Ledan as well as his four sisters, Loretta, Shirley, Lily and Lorraine.

He will also be missed by his four beloved grandchildren, Keira, Caitlyn, Curtis and Emily; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 10AM in St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, 208 Bound Brook Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854 followed by burial in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.

Family and friends may gather in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 7-9PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Warren’s memory to St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, 208 Bound Brook Avenue, Piscataway, NJ 08854 or to the American Lung Association, 21 W 38th St, New York, NY 10018.
