Obituary of Stefanie T Demico
South Plainfield – Stefanie Demico, 62, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at JFK Medical Center, Edison surrounded by her family.
Born in Plainfield, Stefanie is a lifelong resident of South Plainfield. She graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1978.
Stefanie was an avid Nascar fan, she especially loved the Earnhardt racing team, she enjoyed watching the NY Yankees play, taking motorcycle rides, traveling, vacationing at the Jersey Shore and loved to go see local music bands, she was a big fan of Tom Petty. Most of all she loved gathering with her friends and family. Stefanie would light up a room with her beautiful smile and always be there for her family or a friend in need.
Stefanie is Predeceased by her parents Charles and Irene Puha and sister, Dianne and her husband Stephen; surviving are her siblings, Jane Sheedy and husband Robert, Charles Puha and wife Carol, Marilyn and husband Eviatar, nieces Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Catherine and husband Greg (children: Amber & Greg), nephew Stephen and his wife Elyse and Mel her longtime friend/companion and of course her puppy Leo.
Family and friends may gather in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4-8PM
Cremation will be held privately.
All are invited to the burial of Stefanie's cremated remains with her beloved parents, Charles and Irene Puha on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11AM in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, family and friends are asked to arrive to the funeral home at 10:45AM for the procession to the cemetery.
