Age: 76 * Piscataway
Piscataway, NJ – David Loss, 76, passed away at his home with his loving wife at his bedside on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Born in Mt. Carmel, PA to the late Julius Joseph and Anna Marie (Bulka) Loss, David was raised in Somerville and lived in Middlesex prior to settling in Piscataway.
David worked in Pensions and Benefits with the State of New Jersey, Treasury Department. He was formerly a field representative for the State Lottery Division, held a license for Real Estate Appraising and was a realtor with Century 21 – Van Syckel. David was also the former co-owner of Rainbow Deli located in Edison.
David loved to give to others and proudly supported and donated the Disabled American Veterans, the local food banks and the First Presbyterian Church of Iselin. David enjoyed collecting antique glassware and glass animal figurines and he belonged to the Cambridge Glass Collectors of Ohio. He was a former Scout Leader of Den 3 and Assistant Scout Leader Troop 6 of Piscataway.
He loved to travel and was a frequent traveler of the Norwegian Cruise Lines. David enjoyed trips to Point Pleasant Beach and Jenkinson’s Arcade and has been a longtime fan of black and white cinema and classic movies.
Predeceased by his only brother Gerald, surviving David is his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Wendy Loss, son Donovan and his wife Kellie of South Bound Brook, granddaughter Elanor as well as two brothers and sisters-in-law, eight nephews and a niece.
A memorial service honoring David will be held on September 8, 2023 at the Oak Tree – Iselin Presbyterian Church, 20 Middlesex Avenue, Iselin, NJ 08830 beginning 11:00am. Following the services, David will be laid to rest at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
