Obituary of Jean C. Wyles
Middlesex, NJ – Jean C. (Shimko) Wyles, 89, passed away at her residence in the early hours of Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Born in South Amboy to the late Joseph E. and Anna E. (Harvan) Shimko, she was a longtime resident of East Brunswick. Jean retired to Toms River in 2007 until the death of her husband Stanley in 2015. She moved to New Hampshire to be with her daughter Kathleen until moving to NJ to be with her son Mark in 2022.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Jean spent her time caring for her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, was a fantastic cook and baker, especially known for her famous Apple Pie, Chocolate Cookies and Thanksgiving Dinners.
Predeceased by her husband Stanley and sister Anne Ploskonka, Jean leaves behind her loving children; Mark Wyles and his wife Janet of Middlesex and Kathleen Boucher and her husband Steve of Milford, NH and by her two cherished grandchildren; Megan and Matt Wyles.
Visitation will take place at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, September 11, 2023 from 2pm until 4pm. Jean will be laid to rest with her husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
