Obituary of Sherri Mayersky

Southampton, NJ - Sherri Mayersky, 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ.

Born to Steven and Clara Lawrence, Sherri was raised in South Plainfield, moving to Southampton, where she has been a longtime resident.

Sherri chose to stay home and raise her three children, and later began her career at Lippincott’s Supply Company where she worked for 27 years.

With an artistic personality, she enjoyed doing various crafts and art forms, especially working with stained glass, drawing, and trying her hand at cooking.

Predeceased by her father, Steven Lawrence, and sister, Linda Namotka, Sherri is survived by her children, Steven (Janna) Mayersky, PJ Richkus, and Stormy Mayersky; mother Clara Lawrence; siblings, Tina Stutz and Steven Lawrence; and lifelong best friends, Marjorie Bruno and Norma Predmore, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, beginning at 11:45 AM.

Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield.

In lieu of flowers, the Mayersky family has asked that donations be made to the ASPCA, in Sherri’s name.
