Obituary of Peggy J. Moore
Peggy J. Moore, 88, died Friday Evening, December 22, 2023 in the Woodlands Nursing Home of Plainfield.
Born and raised in Culpeper, VA. Peggy has resided in South Plainfield since 1960.
A longtime member of the CedarCroft Bible Chapel in South Plainfield, Peggy worked as a waitress for various restaurants throughout Virginia but her true enjoyment was being a housewife and raising her family.
She is predeceased by her husband Collis; son, Michael Moore; grandson, Cody Moore and her sister and her husband Stella and Charles Weaver.
Surviving are her daughters, Joyce Schweers and her husband Brian of Shrewsbury, Cynthia Zielenbach and her husband George of Georgia and Rebecca Moore of South Plainfield; sons, Thomas and his wife LuAnn of Galloway, NJ and David and his wife Kimberley of Blandon, PA and daughter in law, Judy Moore of Snydersville, PA.
She will also be missed by her seven grandchildren, Amanda, Taryn, Jessica, Brooke, Brandy, Jenna and Raven, two great grandchildren and her several extended loving relatives; particularly her niece Shirley Thompson of South Plainfield, who is an angel here on earth.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals located at 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery Scotch Plains.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 5-8PM in the funeral home.
