Obituary of Clement E Bottone
Clement E. Bottone, 83, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at his home in Somerset, NJ.
Clem was born to Angelo Bottone and Rose Giaquinto on May 20, 1940, in Plainfield, NJ. He was raised and lived most of his life in South Plainfield, NJ until settling in Somerset, NJ with his loving wife, Connie, in 2004. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served from 1957-1963, and was stationed on the USS Wasp in Boston, MA. After his time in the Navy, Clem worked as an insurance salesman before studying for his real estate license. He was dedicated to his career in real estate, where he worked for 59 years until his passing. Clem enjoyed playing golf, watching the Yankees, preparing the seven fishes for Christmas Eve with his family, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Clem is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Concetta (Iannucci) Bottone. He leaves behind his two children, Ann Marie (Bottone) Hennelly and her husband, Steven Hennelly, and Clement Bottone Jr.; two grandchildren, Jessica (Matteo Lattanzio) and Matthew Hennelly; and two siblings, Angelina Spalluto and Michael Bottone.
A visitation will be held at the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 10 AM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home before mass, beginning at 9 AM.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, 899 E Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ.
Clem was a longtime supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory.
