Obituary of Marcyanna V. Golda
Marcyanna V. Golda, 80, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, Marcyanna resided in the city for over 60 years. She lived in Roselle for a number of years before relocating to Clark in 2019.
Predeceased by her parents Peter and Lottie Mikosa, brother Peter Mikosa Jr., and her husband Eugene Golda Sr., Marcy is survived by her daughters, Gina Cammarano and her husband Louis of Fanwood and Laura Golda of Edison; son, Eugene Golda and his wife Jaime of Wall and her cherished grandchildren, Samantha Stevens, Amanda, Emily and Ashley Lombardi, Anthony, Nicholas and Bella Cammarano and Dominic and Juliana Golda. Marcy is also survived by her cousins, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Marcy was a graduate of Battin High School and worked for Thomas and Betts and Phelps Dodge. She retired from Elizabethtown Gas Company where she was employed as a Customer Service Representative. Her retirement provided her the opportunity to spend time with her loving grandchildren.
She also enjoyed coupon cutting, bargain shopping, crafting, and making beautiful beaded bracelets. She found such joy in giving her family the most unusual, fun, and interesting gifts! Her creative ways of fixing things and problem solving led to her nickname, Handy Grammy.
She will always be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and selflessly caring for others throughout the years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 3-7pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 beginning at 9:30am in the funeral home followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at St. Helena’s RC Church, Edison, NJ.
Entombment will at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
