Estelle Sarah Luttgens

October 12 1938 - March 14 2024

Estelle Sarah Luttgens (nee Gabriel), 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday March 14th, 2024.

She was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In 2003, she moved to Dunellen, New Jersey to be closer to her daughter and family. Estelle graduated from the former Philadelphia College of Bible with a degree in Bible Studies. She was a dedicated member of the former Raritan Road Baptist Church in Cranford, New Jersey. She served several roles in the Church, including Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, VBS, choir, and other committees.

Estelle loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards and games. She thoroughly enjoyed trips with the Traveling Seniors Group and her friends. She was an avid reader and loved going to plays and watching British TV shows especially mysteries as well as Western movies and shows. Estelle found joy in sending cards to her family and friends for all occasions.

She was predeceased by her parents Grace and Russell and her husband Frederick. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine Grace Grimm and her husband James Walter and her grandchildren Sarah Ann and Luke Frederick Grimm of Piscataway, New Jersey.

She is also survived by a stepson Frederick J. Luttgens II and his wife Beverly of Linden, New Jersey and several step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren all of whom she loved as her own.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 from 3-7PM.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 beginning at 11AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield NJ.
