Piscataway – Anthony S. “Tony” Gadek, 80, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Elizabeth to the late Anthony and Teresa (O’Brien) Gadek, Anthony grew up in Perth Amboy. He attended St. Mary’s School in Perth Amboy where he was an altar boy. Anthony graduated from Middlesex County Vocational & Technical School in 1961.

Anthony began his career with Automatic Catering. He then worked at Johnson & Johnson for 17 years before retiring in August 2011.

In May of 1965, Anthony married Mary Pajak in Perth Amboy. They settled in Piscataway where he was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church. Since 1977, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their second home at Midway Beach in South Seaside Park.

He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Gadek, mother, Teresa (O’Brien) Gadek, brother, Gerard “Jerry” Gadek, and sister, Mary Teresa Gadek Goyal.

Anthony is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary (Pajak) Gadek; his daughter, Jacqueline Siesputowski and her husband David of Somerset; his son, Keith Gadek of Somerset, and his sister, Joanne Gadek. He will also be missed by his three grandchildren, Tara, Steven, and Isabella.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday, March 29, 2024 from 5-8PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:30AM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 followed by burial in Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
