Please share a memory of Eileen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Eileen Marie Walker, 72, passed peacefully onto Eternal life with the Lord on Good Friday, March 29, 2024.

Eileen was born to Frank and Marie Noll in Queens, NY, and was raised in Lindenhurst, NY. In college at 19, she met her soulmate, Rob. Just six months later, she went temporarily blind, and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The prognoses by her neurologists, statistically: she would be in a wheelchair in 5 years, and die in ten.

She and Rob would marry in 1974 and move to New Jersey. In 1978, they found their dream house in South Plainfield and throughout the years, created a home.

Eileen, and Rob, wanted four children. When the neurologists warned against having children, due to her stage of MS, the Lord provided three healthy children and a bonus child, then teenage sister-in-law Edith. By the grace of God, and loving support of Rob, Eileen would live an inspiring and fruitful life for 53 more years.

Eileen's greatest Joy was expressed through the love of her family, and then sharing that love with others.

She loved to gather friends and family for any occasion. On March 2, 2024, surrounded by family and friends, she celebrated her Golden Anniversary of Marriage!

Eileen had an eye for beauty and detail and loved to sew, bake and decorate cakes and candy; scrapbooking and home décor.

An active member of the community prior to becoming wheelchair bound (1996) and later hospital bed bound (2013), she was a Girl Scout leader (Troop 214) in the 1980s, and supported and attended dance and band recitals, recreation sports, traveling soccer, and Cub Scout and Boy Scout activities. She actively promoted devotion to the Sacred Heart, Divine Mercy, Charismatic renewal and Marian devotion in the 1990s; supported Pro-life activities and was a member of the Divine Mercy Healing Ministry. Together with Rob, she loved doing pre-Cana weekends for marriage preparation of engaged couples (1994-2011). She was the parish disabilities advocate at Sacred Heart Church (2003-2009) and helped many people overcome life's adversities providing hope and faith through her Facebook account.

Predeceased by her parents, Frank Noll Jr. and Marie (nee Mion) Noll, Eileen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert “Bob” Walker III; her three children, Robert IV (Irene), Christine (Jeffrey Heine) and Steven (Jessica); Kimberly Steiner (mother of Robert's children); ten grandchildren: Victoria, Amber, Jeffrey Jr., Brittany, Sean, Jasmin, Robert V, Adrianna, Joseph, and Madelyn; and three great grandchildren: Berkley, Eve and Jeffrey III.
