In Loving Memory of Giovanni "John" Mingione
 
Giovanni "John" Mingione, known for his kind heart and love for family, passed away peacefully on April 7th at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 17, 1935, in Casagiove, Italy, he was a cherished husband, devoted father, beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, and dear friend to many.
 
Giovanni's journey was one of resilience, courage, and determination. In 1967, he left behind his homeland to pursue the American dream. Settling in New Jersey, Giovanni's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own successful business, where he filled people’s bellies with delicious food while filling their hearts with his kindness. However, Giovanni's greatest source of joy was his family. He found immense happiness in spending time with his loved ones. Whether gathered around the Sunday table or playing a game of cards, Giovanni's presence brought laughter, love, and a sense of togetherness.
 
A true patriarch, Giovanni leaves behind a proud legacy. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria, daughters Rosanna Sivo and her husband Giuseppe, Julia Bottone and her husband Louie, and Frances Mingione and her husband Michael, grandchildren Maria, Angela, Michael, Louie, Kristina and Giovanni, as well as 7 great-grandchildren, who will forever treasure the memories created with him.
 
In the hearts of all who knew him, Giovanni Mingione will be remembered for his strong spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to his family. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his legacy of love will live on eternally.
 
A mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in South Plainfield, NJ at 10:00 AM. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
