Mr C was one of my first coaches who I admired and loved playing for…he coached us on two undefeated seasons at Burnet JHS in football and baseball in 1981 and again my senior year for Union High School for the 1984 Farmers under Lou Rettino. When I heard he passed it took me right back to those wonderful times - thank you for being such a big part of my life back then - heaven gets a great guy - condolences to the entire family…

My condolences to Chet's family. He will be missed. My memories of Chet will always bring back those wonderful Saturday afternoons getting ready for and then playing the games. Memories that last forever. Great player, great teammate, great person. I'm glad you stopped by my house and we got to talk and reminisce about the old days. RIP buddy.

Chet, I will always cherish all the memories we had growing up as kids and all of the fun family gatherings. But one of the best and fondest memories is when we all got together this summer. Love and miss you. Always and forever, Sandy

Mr. C. was my all-time favorite teacher ever! I'm now 58 years old and remember how generous he was as a teacher and a coach. We were in touch recently as Facebook friends And I loved seeing his adventures with his family, and he always had such a nice comments about what all of his other students were up to. Deep, heartfelt condolences to his family members.
He was a very special person.

Mr. C defined the meaning of Coach and role model like few others. Growing up in Union, Coach C made our football team what it was, his integral part of the coaching staff impacted our success as athletes and as individuals. His no nonsense blend of discipline and thoughtfulness made men out of us all, whether you knew it then or just figured it out later in life. May his family be carefully watched over as many grieve his passing. May Coach be granted eternal peace. Thank you for being in my life as well as my twin brother.

I was in the same 1967 class with Chet. Always friendly to everyone and stuck up for classmates. We were in economics together. The teacher was giving me a hard time and he was right there taking my part.
A great athlete and friend to All! Knew he would make a wonderful teacher because of his caring nature!
My prayers to all his family ! He will be missed by many as he touched many many lives.

Chet's loss hits me harder than a brick in the face. I have always thought of him as the #1 hero of the Class of '67, and as I think of it, his posts meant more to me than many others. I was especially touched by his recent post about hooking up with Bob 'Coz' Cosentino at the shore, after many years. My condolences to his family, friends, and all you dear classmates from 1967. Farewell, Chet, I know you will live on forever in my mind and heart.

My deepest condolences to the family. Chet and I were teammates on mid 60s UHS football team. Chet was a gifted athlete. As backup to starting punter Chet, I prayed he’d stay healthy as I was mortified I’d have to punt one day. RIP, you were a fun teammate.

Chet, you were the best. Thank you for checking up on me after Frank passed. You would call to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. Jackie, Connie, Sandy and me were so proud of you.
