Formerly of Garfield, NJ – Joyce Elizabeth (Nogrady) Brandt, 93, passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Piscataway in the early hours of Saturday, September 21, 2024.   Born and raised in Garfield to the late Elmer and Ottilia (Nebiker) Nogrady, Joyce was a lifelong resident until moving in to be with her son six years ago.

Joyce worked as an Shipping/Office Manager for MH & W International Company located in Wyckoff.  She loved to cook and take care of her family.  Joyce looked forward to her date at Applebee’s on Thursday’s and could often be found reading, especially Medical Books.  Her friends and family often told her, she should have been a Doctor or Nurse!  At any family gathering, Joyce enjoyed sitting and playing Dominoes’ or Pinnacle as a family.

Predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 2012 and her siblings; Judith White and her husband Robert and Joann Copeland, Joyce leaves behind her loving son Kenneth R. Brandt and his companion Linda Jevic and her two daughters; Melanie and Jennifer.  She is also survived by her brother Elmer Nogrady of New Jersey, her grandchildren; Derek John and Khaela, Deziree and Dominic, Tyasia, Shaun and Alannah, great-grandson Kingston Charles, many loving nieces and nephews and Rocco “aka Mr. Noisy,” her four legged companion.

A gathering celebrating Joyce’s life will be held at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Saturday, September 28, 2024 beginning 11:00am with concluding prayers starting at 2:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent in Joyce’s name to Glaucoma Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Center would be appreciated.
