Obituary of Amorsolo Quines
Piscataway, NJ – Amorsolo Quines, 85, passed away on September 26, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Mariano Marcos, Cotabato, Philippines to the late Juan Quines, Sr. and Patricia Madulid, Amorsolo and his wife Carolina lived in Piscataway since 1972.
He was Foreman and Lead Mechanic for Sequoa Corporation in East Rutherford. His passions included; growing vegetables in his backyard every summer that he can stay outside all day, cooking for his family and having them guess what Filipino dish he or his wife were making, especially with the Pinakbet and who marinated the shish kebab.
Amorsolo enjoyed playing poker and would cheat if it would means he would win. A true jokester, he thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh. He enjoyed spending time on the water fishing and took pride in cooking his catches. Amorsolo was a sports fanatic and liked to watch basketball, boxing and football.
Predeceased by his daughter Jocelyn Holland, Amorsolo leaves behind his loving wife Carolina, daughters; Charilyn Sloan of Short Hills, Annabelle Reichert of Old Bridge, Mylene Quines-Williams of Piscataway and Emely Griffiths of Hillsborough, grandchildren; Christopher and Kelly Sloan, Chelsea, Hayley and Jaimee Reichert, Tayler Seuffert, Lexi and Tyler Holland, Kaitlyn and Kevin Williams and Emma and Mia Griffiths. Amorsolo will be missed by his sons-in-law; James Reichert, Darren Holland and Steve Griffiths and by his great-grandson Donovan Seuffert.
Visitation will take place at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 9am until the funeral services at 11am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Jamesburg in East Brunswick.
