Obituary of Gloria Cauldwell
Gloria Cauldwell, 94, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville.
Born and raised in New Brunswick, over the course of her lifetime Gloria also resided in Trenton, New Brunswick, Piscataway and South Plainfield before relocating to Edison.
An avid baker, especially during the holiday season, Gloria was known for her enormous selections of delicious cookies and other baked treats. She traveled whenever possible to spend time with her grandchildren. The healthy lifestyle she led through activities, diet and exercise were an inspiration to others. Even simple things such as playing Bingo and just sitting outdoors basking in the sun brought her much joy. Her soft-spoken nature would melt anyone’s heart.
Predeceased by her husband Robert Cauldwell and by all of her siblings, Gloria is survived by her daughter, Sharon Altreche and her husband Ralph of Piscataway; sons, Bryan Cauldwell and his wife Judy of Monmouth Junction, Wayne Cauldwell and his wife Lily of Princeton and Kevin Cauldwell and his wife Yardena of Colorado. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Doris Chen, Julian and Juneau Cauldwell.
All visitation, funeral and burial services are being held privately.
