Obituary of Josephine Nappa

Josephine Nappa, 95, passed away at her son's home with loving family at her side on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Born in Lioni, Italy on December 10, 1922 to the late Maria and Antonio Rotonda, Josephine immigrated to the United States in 1955 and settled to Middlesex in 1961. She retired from Cosmair in Piscataway where she worked packaging products. She was formerly a member of the Middlesex Senior Citizens and was active within the parish of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, liked to travel and garden but mostly enjoyed her time with family and friends, especially her two great-granddaughters. Predeceased by her husband of sixty-five years Antonio in 2012 and her son-in-law Alfred Germano, she leaves behind her daughter Josephine Germano and son Andrew Nappa and his wife Maria, five siblings; Agnesa, Lisa, Anna, Gerardina and Vito as well as three grandchildren; Anthony Nappa, Michelle Lambert and her husband Barton and Michael Nappa, two great-granddaughters; Caitlin Nappa and Gianna Lambert and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2-6pm and on Monday, February 19, 2018 beginning 8:45am. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 9:15am followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Josephine will be laid to rest beside her husband at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hunterdon Hospice, c/o Hunterdon Medical Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 would be appreciated.
