Obituary of Barbara Ann Holleran

Barbara Ann (Finocchio) Holleran, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born and raised in Plainfield, she was the daughter of James and Marion (Eskesen) Finocchio. She was a graduate of Plainfield High School class of 1958. Barbara and Paul were married in June 1964 in Plainfield, N.J., They were married for 54 wonderful years. After being married they lived in North Plainfield, N.J. for 12 months. They purchased a new home in Piscataway in 1965 and lived there for 52 years. Before starting her family Barbara worked as a teller in Queen City Savings and Loan in Plainfield for about 6 years and after the children were grown she worked as a secretary for Carpet Magicians in Middlesex, N.J. for about 5 years. Barbara enjoyed cooking very much and wouldn't hesitate to try something new, she loved her many dogs of which included Bootsy, Baily, Petie, Murphy and McGee. She loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers and growing her own vegetables, spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren and she also enjoyed traveling the country along with her husband Paul and her brother Vincent in their 38 foot RV. In addition to her husband Paul, also surviving are her children; Lori Matteo of Flagtown, Shawn and his wife Eileen of Brick, James and his wife Judy of Toms River, Paul and Philip both of Piscataway, her brother Vincent Finocchio also of Piscataway and her six grandchildren; Jacquelyn, Ryan, Kristyn, Kayla, Louis and Gina. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11am in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4-7pm in the funeral home.
