Obituary of Roel L. Samson

Piscataway, NJ - Roel L. "Jo" Samson, 54, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, February 27th surrounded by his loving family. Jo was predeceased by his mother, Rosita L. Samson, and brothers-in-law Terence D. and Colum M. Cooney. Jo is survived by his dear wife Frances K. (nee,Cooney) and loving daughter, Valarie Rose; father, Dr. Reynaldo Samson; sisters, Rosalie (Germano) DiNardo; Rebecca (Brian) Boomer; Rosanna (Steven) Weiner; Rachelle (Bruno) Lucarelli; Rowena Marie Samson; father-in-law Terence J. Cooney and his wife Sheila; and brother-in-law Danh Cooney, along with nieces and nephews, Anthony, Alessandra and her husband Keith, Bianca, Tory, Bruno, Jared, Evan and Madeline. A beloved husband and father, Jo was born in Manila, Philippines. The Samson Family immigrated to Canada in 1973 and moved to the United States in 1977, where he was a long-time resident of Passaic, NJ. Jo was an enthusiastic sportsman who enjoyed fishing, golf, and other outdoor activities with his many friends and relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Rd. Middlesex, NJ 08846. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 10AM at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
