Corin's wedding when Jay was stationed in Rapid City, SD. We went for the week.
While we were there, we toured Mt. Rushmore during the day & returned for the lighting ceremony at night. During the ceremony, all military (active duty & veterans) were invited up to the stage. With a little encouragement, we got a hesitant Dad & Gpa up there. Chris & I supported Gpa while he spoke. Dad cried. After the ceremony, a number of guests stayed behind to say hello to Gpa & thank him. It was quite the sight & he beamed the whole way back through the auditorium.
