Plainfield, NJ - Anna (Scaramello) Hobbib, 87, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center. Born and raised in South Plainfield to the late Nicholas and Millie (Spisso) Scaramello, Anna married Elias Bshara Hobbib and settled to Plainfield in 1952.
Anna loved to cook and bake and she enjoyed walking. She had a love for her church; Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Scotch Plains and adored her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Kristen Marie and by her three sisters; Sadie, Connie and Jean, Anna leaves behind her loving and devoted family; husband of sixty-five years Elias, children; Gary and his wife Rachel of New York City, Nancy Rubright and husband David of South Plainfield, Doreen Belowich and husband David of Edison and Lisa Pinto and her husband James of St. Charles, IL. Anna also leaves behind her six cherished grandchildren; Isabelle, Melissa, Lauren, Daniel, Nicholas and Karlee.
Visitation will be held at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 3pm until 6pm. Relatives and friends may join together at 10:30 am on Monday, March 12, 2018 for a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Scotch Plains. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent in aide of the completion of the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church Rectory would be appreciated. Donations in Anna's name can be sent to the building fund, c/o Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 1571 Martine Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
