Obituary of John J Martin

John J. Martin Flemington-John Joseph Martin, 69, passed away on Sunday evening, June 27, 2010 at Berkeley Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born and raised in Plainfield, he was a Plainfield High School graduate and had resided in Flemington for most of his adult life. John was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving overseas as a medic, prior to his discharge. He had been employed as a veterinary assistant and later worked as a salesman for Flemington Subaru and Isuzu where he was the recipient of a number of sales awards and achievements during his career. Predeceased by his parents, John & Kathleen, he is survived by three sisters, Kathleen Martin of Exton, PA, Maureen Gottlick of Fanwood and Dolores Martin of South Plainfield, a niece Jennifer Auricchio and nephew Marc Gottlick and family. A memorial mass in his memory will celebrated on Wednesday July 21, 2010 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, 516 West Sixth Street, Plainfield, NJ, 07060. Committal services are private and under the direction of the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals of South Plainfield, Memorial donations to the Plainfield Area Humane Society, 75 Rock Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060 would be appreciated.
