Christine "Tillie" Caravello South Plainfield - Christine " Tillie" Caravello, 77 died on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving children, family and friends. Born in Hudson, PA., she lived in Plainfield before settling to South Plainfield in 1960. She was employed at the former Lakeside Restaurant for many years and also formerly employed by the Med Tech Group. She is a member of the South Plainfield Senior Citizens and a communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield. She is predeceased by her son, Michael, her brother, Joseph and sisters, Helen and Eleanor. Surviving are her children; Patricia Caravello and Harold Caravello and his wife Jill, a granddaughter, Wenoa and her husband Bryce, a great grandson, Dylan Michael, a sister, Emily Sempervive, daughter in law, Dr. Michelle Caravello and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 8:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 9:00 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 from 4-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Haven Hospice, 65 James Street, Edison, NJ 08820.
