Edward G. Lotkowictz South Plainfield - Edward G. Lotkowictz, 79, died on Friday, February 22, 2008 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in South Amboy, Mr. Lotkowictz resided in South Plainfield for 50 years. He worked as a clerk for 20 years with the United States Postal Service retiring in 1990. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Ed served during the Korean Conflict. He played the Accordian with "The Cavaliers" band that often played at various charity events and holiday parties as well as weddings. He is a former little league baseball coach and was also known to be a handyman fixing just about anything around house. Mr. Lotkowictz is pre-deceased by his wife Mary who died in 1996, 2 sisters; Agnes Soos and Helen Schlacht, and by a brother William. Surviving are his daughter Lorraine M. Lotkowictz of South Plainfield, his son Robert E. and his wife Susan of Skaneateles, NY, and by his 3 grandchildren; Emily, Jenna, and Joshua Lotkowictz. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Planfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plans. Visitation will be4 held on Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home
