Anne C. Gauthier-Kvetkosky
Edison- Anne C. (Horne) Gauthier - Kvetkosky, 86 , died on Friday, June 8, 2007 in the JFK Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Newark on June 29, 1920, Anne resided in Union, Englishtown, Maplewood, Plainfield, Toms River, and South Plainfield, before moving to Edison.
Mrs. Gauthier-Kvetkosky attended St. Michael's School in Union, and was the beloved wife of the late Edmond Gauthier Sr., who died in 1981.
A former communicant of Our Lady of Czestochowa RC Church in South Plainfield, Anne was a talented artist and poet. She raised her family in Maplewood, and was a former member of St. Joseph's RC Church, where she was active within the Altar Rosary Society. She was also active with the Democratic Club and Election Committee.
For the past 17 years, Anne resided at JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates in Edison. She became very active in their recreation department and enjoyed crafts, music, painting, and poetry. During those 17 years at Edison Estates, Mrs. Gauthier-Kvetkosky met and married the late Bernard Kvetkosky.
She is pre-deceased by her parents; John and Jennie Horne, her first husband, Edmond Gauthier, Sr., her second husband Bernard Kvetkosky, her sister; Jennie, and by four brothers; John, Raymond, Edward, and Joseph Horne.
Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Denise M. and Thomas J. Herzog of South Plainfield, her sons and daughters-in-law, Edmond C. and Carol Gauthier, Jr. of Virginia, John J. and Shelly Gauthier of Bowling Green, K.Y., Pierre F. and Theresa Marie Gauthier of Schnectady, N.Y. and Donald and Marge Lurie also of N.Y. One Brother, John J. Horne Jr. of Florida, and 14 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 6 step grandchildren; Gloria Fulham - Harbstreet, Richard and Paula Kvetkosky, Joanne and Kevin Latham, Bernie and Frank Wahl, Carol and Ned Faircloth, and Kevin and Linda Kvetkosky.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield followed by a Mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
