Obituary of John S. DeStefano

John S. DeStefano Fanwood - John S. DeStefano, 55, died suddenly on Saturday May 29, 2010 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Elizabeth, John grew up in Colonia and resided in South Plainfield for 14 years before moving to Fanwood 2 years ago. He was active with the Boys Scouts of America and attended St. Bartholomew's The Apostle Church in Scotch Plains. Mr. DeStefano was a devoted husband, father and son. He is predeceased by his father Sal. Surviving are his wife Francine (Nudle), his 3 children; Tina, Keith and Brian DeStefano all of Fanwood, his mother Dorothy of South Plainfield, his 2 sisters; Angela Anthony and her husband Buzzy of Edison and Laura Conrad and her husband Bill of South Plainfield and his 2 brothers; Anthony and his wife Regina of Clinton and Jimi of Cranford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 9:00 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:30 AM funeral mass at St. Bartholomew's The Apostle Church, Scotch Plains. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
