Maralina A. Gorman Morneault North Plainfield- Maralina A. Gorman Morneault, 90, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home in Greenbrook. Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma she moved to No. Plainfield in 1948. She was a homemaker for many years then worked in Transportation Department at the Wardlaw- Hartridge School, Edison for 16 years before retiring in 1976. Maralina was very active in the VFW Ladies Aux, Dunellen Post #5479,where he served as President 3 different terms, and held many other offices.. She served as the N.J. State President of the Supreme Cooties Club and State Treasurer. Maralina was awarded the 1000 hour volunteer medal at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield. Maralina was active with the North Plainfield Sr. Citizens Group, and was the Trip Coordinator for 15 years. She is pre-deceased by her first husband James W. Gorman, 1980, her second husband Robert Morneault Jr, 1999 and most recently by her son James Gorman Jr. In 2007 Surviving are her 3 daughters; Barbara Brayley (Clyde) of Tonawana, NY, Harriet Conner (Harold) of Naples, FL, and Janice Vogel (Wayne) of South Plainfield, her daughter in-law Gayle Gorman of Manville and her sisters Arlene Seaton of Albany, GA and Ruth Hosty of Santa Rose, CA. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 10:00 am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Fuenrals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield Interment will follow in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ . Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March, 11 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the JFK Haven Hospice, C/O JFK Medical Center, 65 James St., Edison, NJ 08818
